Amphilochios: Saint of Patmos
Documentary short exploring the life and spiritual legacy of a beloved twentieth-century saint from the Greek island of Patmos. Filmed during the first celebration of his April feast day in 2019, locals and pilgrims to the island share their remembrances of St. Amphilochios (1889-1970), a tireless spiritual father, missionary, and founder of orphanages and monasteries. He was a spiritual son of St Nektarios of Aegina, and a spiritual father of St Gavrilia, the Ascetic of Love. Metropolitan Kallistos Ware and he were both tonsured at the Monastery of St John the Theologian on Patmos.
